Hi

I’m Fiona, are you looking for New Product Development or Technical support for your business?

I am a qualified Nutritionist with a BSc (Hons) and more than 25 years experience working in the food industry.  Passionate about food, I have worked in a number of different food sectors within in the food industry, and have an extensive network of suppliers and customers to draw on.

I now live near Monmouth, in a beautiful part of the countryside where there are many fruits and berries available to forage and experiment with.  I love gardening and cooking, and I founded White Oak making chutneys, jams and jellies in 2022.  I was recently made redundant when the food business I worked at for 13 years went into administration, the increased service charges and rising food inflation, was too much for them sustain.  I am enjoying expanding my own business, but also have enough time spare to offer my skills and experience to other businesses that can benefit from my experience.

Smaller businesses often need to expand their product ranges, but can find it challenging to justify the financial investment of a full time NPD technologist.  I can offer a number of options that will benefit your business without the financial costs. 

My aim:-

To deliver products compliant within the brief, within the budget, providing accurate formulation and full product costings.

 

 

This work can include things such as implementing New product development processes, complaint with BRC 8.  Reviewing HACCP plans and processes.  Reviewing product recipes, process validation, waste management, trial support and assessment of cooking losses. 

Projects can include things such as Benchmarking, Market research, Recipe development, functional ingredient sourcing and trials, Organoleptic testing and Shelf-life trials, cooking and reheating validation.
